The Lithuanian Trade Union Confederation (LPSK) supports the demonstration “Poland Needs a Pay Rise” which is organized by the All-Poland Alliance of Trade Unions (OPZZ) and its goals.

Lithuania shares similar problems with Poland. Unfortunately, social and economic inequality is a painful problem for our region and it has to be addressed in earnest. We agree: „enough is enough”.

Lithuanian trades unions understand the negative consequences of a lack of social dialogue and inadequate wages for workers. Wages are not in line with the productivity level in both countries. The Lithuanian Trade Union Confederation solidarises with the colleagues from Poland in seeking to change this flawed situation. A pay rise is the first but very important step building more just societies.
