PERC Youth Committee is deeply concerned with the situation around the labour rights of young people in Croatia.

Employers take advantage of the loopholes in the current legislation to earn extra profits by exploiting the young workers. The greed of business leads to increase in the number of working poor, thus further complicating the socio-economic divide in the country. If the social dumping and age based discrimination are to remain Croatia will face a bleak future.

We, PERC Youth Committee, call on the country’s officials to stop the state-sanctioned exploitation of the young workers. We and trade unionists around the globe support our Croatian brothers and sisters in the fight for their rights and future.
